The day after Thanksgiving

It was Thanksgiving Day yesterday and I had a really good meal. So good that it made me sick... I mean, I ate too much, not the food poisoning kind of sick. It's the I'm-having-a-good-life kind of sick... Ok, never mind. Anyway, Karen picked me up and we went over to Christy's house. We had alcohol free margarita while the food was heating up and we just sat around and chit-chat with the guests. They were mainly Christy's parents and parents-in-laws... And of course, we had the turkey and cranberry sauce, baked stuffing, sweet potato casserole, baked potatos with sauce, steamed corn nibblets, gyoza and the wonderful Yorkshire pudding... That has to be my favourite food for the day =) Actually, it's just plain muffin-like pastry. Something like choux pastry but lighter and more airy. And it's not sweet. Definitely an English thing. Well, Christy's parents-in-laws are English... Oh and the dessert was pecan pie... Man, it was so sweet and rich, I guess that's what made me sick. Anyway, at the end of the day, I packed back some leftover turkey and Yorkshire pudding =)

Well, since NL is away in Chicago for the Thanksgiving holidays, I have the whole house to my self! Yeh!!!!! Kinda enjoyed it though, being alone in the house. Anyway, I went shooping at Sharpstown Mall in the morning. Not many people there but well, still pretty enjoyable. Actually, the day after Thanksgiving is a day of BIG SALES! The large malls open at, guess what, 5am! Crazy rite? I'm not that crazy, I went at 930am... Anyway, went back to make lunch for myself and watched some TV. Well, I had the leftover turkey and yorkshire pudding! After that, I went grocery shopping... More enjoyable than the mall, I guess. Ended up buying lotsa stuff... Hmmm...

More turkey and yorkshire pudding for dinner... I just love the long weekend!
