Food and Movie week =)

Phew.... What a week. No-stop food action! Monday, the director of our cell processing facility treated all staff to lunch at a restaurant. I had fried green tomato salad as appetizer, angel hair pasta sauteed with prawns, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and olive oil and apple bread pudding for dessert. Finally, a cup of coffee to end the meal. Food wise, it wasn't the best. But it was still a pretty enjoyable meal. Liked the fried green tomato salad best. Actually, the green tomatoes aren't sour. They aren't tart and they aren't sweet either. Hmmm... So it's pretty tasteless. Well, I liked it cos it's light. Everything else was pretty heavy.

Today, we're going to have Christmas potluck lunch. Lostsa food lined up! And not to mention, I've received lotsa presents from the staff here. Well, mainly chocolates and sweets. Someone gave us homemade cookies and scones, marshmallow chocolate coconut sweets and spicy pecan cheese logs! Yum yum... And we made cookies for most of the staff too. Quick, fast and fun! Courtesy of instant cookie mix... Went through about 80 cookies in 2 hours...

Watched Ghost in the Shell and Inuyasha Movie 3 last night. Ghost was good. It's pretty philosophical and has an art-film feel. Very haunting music too. I must say that it's pretty visionary considering this film was made more than 10 years ago. Looking forward to watching the next Ghost movie. A bit heavy but I certainly enjoyed it. Basically, the film is about what happens when computer programs acheive a certain consciousness of themselves. How do you define life when humans and computers merge? Where do you draw the line? I think I prefer this to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Inuyasha movie 3: Swords of an Honourable Ruler was the best Inuyasha movie I've watched so far. Fast-paced action and poignant reminiscence of Inuyasha's parents. A pretty fun movie =) Never a dull moment.
