Freezing Day

It's Martin Luther King Jr Day today and we went Downtown to watch the Parade. Bad idea. It was freezing and the wind was merciless! Even though I was wrapped up in many layers, my extremities were really experiencing the onslaught of icy, artic weather. Was quite worried I would get frostbite and lose my fingers and toes. But then again, I saw some people out in the open just wearing T-shirt and pants. I even spotted a girl wearing slippers. Helllo! Are they crazy? Wonder if they have anti-freeze cruising in their blood stream... I guess the performers really had a hard time too. Got to play their instruments without gloves. And the cheerleaders were in costumes fit for summer. I really wonder how they get by with the entire length of their legs exposed. And still keep smiling...

Anyway, Fox TV is finally showing the latest season of 24! I just love that show... I think I could just sit in front of the TV and watch 8 hours at one go. It's so fast-paced and exciting that the hour literally fly by... Poor Jack! Got rescued just to be sent to his death. He's pretty traumatised and damaged, physically and emotionally, ever since the last time I saw him. He's so different! But of course, he won't die for the next 24 hours...
