Random spurts of thoughts
Yes, it's been some time isn't it? I sort of went into the habit of not going online. Being in an online community just isn't part of my comfort zone. It's like a workout for me. Gotta get in front of the computer, lift my fingers and get them moving and typing to the right sequence of letters. The you gotta think about what you want to say and how you want to express yourself. So what happened in the lapse? Well, Andrew was here so we just spent more time sight seeing and making meals. I enjoyed the drive to San Antonio. Just a bit stressful. You think Sentosa is touristy? You haven't seen San Antonio. Well, it's a quaint little place with beautiful architecture and a river by the sidewalk. Like Boat Quay, only it has a more rustic feel.
Watched a couple of movies. V for Vendetta (5 stars!) The Sentinel (3.5 stars!), Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest (4 stars!), World Trade Center (3 stars). Somehow, I just wasn't touched by the film. Not as intense as The Pianist or Munich. Tried to watch Lain, a Jap anime. Had a hard time keeping awake. Too little dialogue.
Nilian's watching Closer now. I left halfway and came in to write my blog. Doesn't that tell you something? Look at the lives and morality of the characters in the film. What can the world offer? Nothing. Love? Hardly. I doubt most people are like the characters in the film but it's kinda depressing looking at their lives. I could easily be like one of them. I guess God watches over my sanity.
I like the online magazine Wired. Lotsa interesting articles about advancing Science and Technology. Went for a clinical trial today. Nothing invasive, just play a game and they pay you according to how well you score. Purpose is to find out how different people deal with trust, competition and co-operation. So I made $65 in one hour. Hope they call me up again for another trial =)
Geeze, I hope to catch an episode of CSI after Nilian is done with the movie. Oh I think she's done. Yeah!!!!
